Museum

The Salvation Army Museum Basel is a private museum and was opened in 1993 originating from a private collection belonging to Caroline Faessler-Burkhardt.

It has probably become the largest private collection of Salvation Army objects, within Switzerland and the neighbouring countries. The history of The Salvation Army is reflected in the collection, which dates from the founding days of The Salvation Army up to the present time. The objects were brought together from all over the world.

The Salvation Army Museum Basel is located in a private house. One room in the house is exclusively set up as a museum. Far from showing all objects here, the collection can be made accessible upon request, related to a specific topic or specific sphere of interests.

The Salvation Army Museum Basel can be visited upon appointment.
